Major General William Azure Ayamdo was a Ghanaian military officer and the former Chief of Army Staff of the Ghana Army.

On 9 February 2017, he was appointed by President Akuffo-Addo as the Chief of Army Staff of the Ghana Army. He was succeeded by Thomas Oppong Peprah after he retired.
