William Godson Bruce-Konuah was a Minister of State in the Second Republic, physician, and, politician.

He was born on 14 May 1932 to Dr. Kofi George Konuah, an educationist. He attended the Accra Government boys' school from 1936 to 1945 and the Accra Academy where he had his secondary education from 1946 to 1951. In 1957, he obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Norwood College, London, and attended Liverpool from 1958 to 1963 for his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (Mb Chb).

William Godson Bruce-Konuah was a teacher at the Accra Academy from 1953 to 1955. He worked at the Ministry of Health and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as a medical officer. He also worked as a senior medical officer in charge of Tema Health Services and also in charge of Tema General Hospital until 1969.

In 1969, he represented the Ghana Ministry of Health at the World Health Organization Seminar on the control of Tuberculosis.

William Godson Bruce-Konuah became a member of parliament for the Tema West Constituency in 1969 serving till January 1971 when he was appointed Minister of Labour and Cooperatives. His tenure of office ended in January 1972 when the Busia Government was overthrown.
