CENTRAL REGIONAL FUNCTIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SUSPENDS FAUSTINA NAA LAMLEY LAMPTEY- REGIONAL WOMEN'S ORGANIZER

The Central Regional Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) announces the suspension of Faustina Naa Lamley Lamptey, Regional Women Organizer for anti party behaviour, harking to the NDC's Disciplinary Code enshrined in Article 48 of the party's Constitution.

Faustina Naa Lamley Lamptey, without provocation of any kind, decided to rain insults on the members of the Functional Executive Committee, and in particular, the Regional Chairman at a properly constituted Functional Executive Committee (FEC) meeting on the 21st of September, 2023 at the Regional Office. This meeting was called to plan and review important programs of the party.

It is instructive to note that Faustina Naa Lamley Lamptey's declined every attempt by members of the Functional Executive Committee to calm down and allow proceedings of the meeting to go ahead, even threatening physical fisticuffs in the process. This eventually impeded the party from taking crucial decisions that had been planned in the agenda.

The Functional Executive Committee was constrained to unanimously suspend Faustina Naa Lamley Lamptey for a period of six months and hopes that the desired discipline necessary for party duties would be restored.

We directs all organs of the party and the General public to refrain from dealing with Faustina Naa Lamley Lamptey in any capacity on behalf of the party within the same period.

The National leadership of the party have been notified of this unfortunate development.

The Central regional Branch of the NDC remains committed to helping the party to secure an overwhelming victory in the 2024 General and parliamentary elections with our eyes firmly set on winning at least twenty (20) parliamentary seats for the NDC.
