The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Jean-Jacques Ngambo Ndala, a referee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, to handle the first clash between Ghana and Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ndala will be supported by his fellow countrymen Olivier Kabene Safari, Nabina Blaise Sebutu, and Malala Kabanga Yannick, who will serve as Assistant I, Assistant II, and Fourth Official, respectively.

The Ghana Football Association announced the appointment in a statement on Sunday, February 26, adding that Sanusi Mohammed from Nigeria will act as Match Commissioner and Latré-Kayi Edzona LawsonHogban from Togo will serve as Referee Assessor.

The Group E encounter between Ghana and Angola will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 24, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

The match is expected to be a fiercely contested encounter, as both teams are fighting for qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Ghana currently leads the group with six points, having won both of their opening games against Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Angola, on the other hand, has four points after a win and a draw in their two previous matches.
