Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, representative for North Tongu, is a member of parliament.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the representative for North Tongu, has provided an update on the issues surrounding his exposés on the National Cathedral of Ghana project.

Monday, May 5, 2023, the MP announced in a Facebook post that on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, he will release new "explosive" documents regarding "scandals" affiliated with the construction of the National Cathedral.

He added that the court will rule on an application for contempt submitted against him by the secretary of the cathedral's Board of Trustees.

"Please take note of the following two significant events occurring tomorrow, May 2, 2023: 1) As previously pledged, the first publication in a new series of explosive "National" Cathedral scandals will be released at 5:00 a.m.

"2) The much-anticipated Kwabena Adu Gyamfi/Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng's final judgement on his contempt application demanding that I be committed to prison is scheduled to be delivered @ 9 am," stated portions of Ablakwa's tweet.

Background

On January 16, 2023, the member of parliament made allegations against the secretary of the National Cathedral of Ghana's Board of Trustees, Rev. Kusi Boateng.

In a previous revelation about the National Cathedral, Okudzeto Ablakwa stated that a company named JNS Talent Centre Limited received a staggering GH2.6 million.

Ablakwa stated that further investigation into the alleged payment led to the identification of Kwabena Adu Gyamfi as the director of JNS Talent Centre.

Ablakwa probed deeper to determine the identity of Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, the third director of the center, after confirming the identities of two of the three directors.

Kwabena Adu Gyamfi was the same person as Reverend Kusi Boateng, who purportedly used the alias Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, according to his findings, which were supported by a number of statutory documents.
