The present generation of gospel musicians in Ghana, according to gospel performer Bernice Ansah, are more concerned with strutting their stuff than bringing people to Christ.

According to the gospel artist, prayer, fasting, and Bible reading are the three primary components that must be present in a gospel musician's life in order for them to release songs under the unction.

She did point out that the present generation of artists does not study the Bible.

The 'Adea Yesu Aye' singer told Larry Bozzlz on CTV's Time With The Stars: "As for me, let me talk about myself. I'm gaining lives for Christ because the Bible commands us to go into the world and preach the gospel and liberate the captives. I therefore use music to spread the gospel.

When compared to gospel music today, which was created twenty years ago, it has evolved into a form of gymnastics and entertainment. In modern days, the spirit of the gospel that we once knew is no longer present. Real gospel music is only produced by a select few people who are dedicated to serving God. Gospel music has resembled consumer goods.

According to her, the present crop of gospel singers lack preparation, which is necessary for them to release gospel music under the unction that will change lives.

"First, you don't just stand up and start singing; there are preparations that go into it. You wait on the Lord for at least 30 days, and pastors have to pray and occasionally get back to you on the lyrics.

Therefore, if you listen to the ancient songs, you'll realize that Mary Ghansah, Tagoe Sister, Daughters, Suzzy, and Matt will make you sense God's presence because they were operating under the unction. People might enter the studio where songs are recorded and perhaps find deliverance there.

The gospel performers nowadays, she said, "don't study the Bible. We would rather flaunt than read the Bible. As a gospel musician, reading the Bible, praying, and fasting are crucial.
