Monalisa Stephen, an actress and plus-size model, has revealed why she reprimanded singer Teni for celebrating her weight loss.

Remember how singer Teni celebrated her weight loss on social media in January 2023? She shared a video detailing her path to losing a huge amount of weight.

Actress and plus-size model Monalisa Stephen attacked Teni for uploading such a video on her Facebook after she shared it online. She claimed that Teni's comments on her weight reduction video gave the impression that obese people aren't healthy.

She continued by saying that Teni started to lose weight abruptly after receiving encouragement for her songs from the "fat people community."

Monalisa spoke on why she was upset when Teni celebrated her weight reduction in a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, which is hosted by Nedu and other media figures.

She claimed during the podcast that she doesn't mind when people refer to her as "fat" and that the reason she was upset with Teni was because Teni was provoking people to make fun of big people. In the video that Teni posted, she said that she had reduced weight because she didn't want to pass away. So, is she implying that being overweight makes a person more likely to die?

When celebrities like Teni lose weight, Monalisa claimed that people usually attack her and other obese people.

She clarified that it also occurred when Eniola Badmus, an actress, lost weight. She was being tagged and told to look at her coworker who had recently dropped weight. Then they chastise her for needing to lose weight and for lying to herself about how much she loves her body.
