Sam Pee Yalley, a former ambassador to India, has described President Nana Akufo-Addo as a significant threat to the country's existence and security.

In an interview with TV XYZ, the former ambassador cited the president's personal characteristics and irresponsible policies as justification for his claim.

According to him, Akufo-Addo consistently divides Ghanaians along political lines, fostering a "us and them" mentality. According to him, this is a potential source of conflict that the nation cannot afford.

"Nana Akufo-Addo is the true threat to our security." Nana Akufo-Addo is the true danger to our nation's existence... If you have a president who consistently divides us into NPP and NDC based on his personal characteristics, then you know you have a "us and them" president.

"This is one potential source of the issue we are attempting to avoid." The president proposes policies that do not set well with us and do not solicit our collective responses. Whatever they desire, they execute without exception. "They can even send soldiers to kill innocent Ghanaians who are voting, and the last time I checked, voting is one of the pillars of democracy," he said.

Additionally, he accused the president of implementing policies without soliciting input from the public.

Sam Pee Yalley also noted that many college graduates remained unemployed for years, causing adolescent frustration.

He urged the government to reconsider its policies and approach to governance in order to avert potential conflict and guarantee the nation's long-term stability.

"...this government has run extremely irresponsible programs, which is why I believe Akufo-Addo's government is a significant threat to our security, because look, you are running a program that prohibits the employment of any young person for the duration of the program. Now that your son has completed Legon, he has been at home for three years. His sister completes 'Cape Vars,' and she, too, returns home; his third sibling is about to complete TECH, and they are all returning home; is this not frustrating?" he concluded.
