Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium

Mr. Alexander Obeng, chairman of the Dormaa Football Association, stated that the Dormaa Municipal Assembly is unwilling to grant the association permission to use the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium for division two and three play-off matches.

Mr. Obeng stated that it is common knowledge that the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium is managed and under the control of the Municipal Assembly, and that the Assembly's refusal to grant the association's request was therefore frivolous and untenable.

He stated that only four of the ten teams in these divisions were using the Antwirifo Park in the municipality for their matches, and that six teams had withdrawn due to the cost of transporting players to the park.

"If we had played these games at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium, none of these issues would exist," he explained.

Mr. Obeng stated in an interview with GNA Sports in Dormaa Ahenkro that numerous requests to the management of Aduana FC to compel them to accede to their request and concerns have been unsuccessful. He was highlighting the difficulties faced by lower-tier teams in finding venues for matches.

"We have written countless letters, and Aduana's management has required us to pledge multiple affidavits, but this has not produced any positive results.

"They assert that our division's activities feature an excessive amount of juju, spiritualism, and fetishism. They have only assured us, countless times, to wait, and we have been waiting for a very long time with no positive results," he continued.

He stated that they were willing to meet with Aduana management to discuss how to draw up and timetable division two and three fixtures so that they do not conflict with premier fixtures.

Mr. Obeng indicated that while it was true that Dormaahene had made substantial personal investments in the administration of the stadium, "this did not negate the fact that it is a community asset in which Aduana FC has a substantial stake."

However, the chairman added that division one league matches were routinely played at Wamanafo Park.
