Clement Apaak, the representative for Builsa South, has confronted Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia regarding the recruitment of personnel for the security services.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Dr. Bawumia asserted that the NPP-led government has created numerous opportunities for Ghanaians to join the country's security services.

When the government took office in 2017, the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) had a total staff of 2,850 officers; six years later, that number has increased to 14,300 as training, accommodation, and other facilities have been enhanced.

He made these remarks as the Special Guest of Honor at the graduation ceremony for the seventh cadet intake of the Narcotics Control Commission, conducted at the Ghana Immigration Training School in Assin Fosu in the Central Region.

In contrast, Dr. Bawumia stated that less than 500 individuals were recruited into the Immigration service during the eight years preceding our administration.

Fact-Check Ghana has confirmed Dr. Bawumia's claim and stated that the claim regarding the number of Immigration Service employees is wholly false.

Dr. Bawumia is a fraudster, according to a tweet from Clement Apaak regarding this development.

According to him, Bawumia is the "lying one" whose expertise never disappoints.

Sammy Gyamfi, the Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called Bawumia a "unrepentant liar" for alleging that the NPP administration has created 2.1 million jobs since 2017.

Dr. Bawumia claimed during his address at the national Eid-ul-Fitr Fitr celebration at the Independence Square that the government has created two million employment since 2017.

Sammy Gyamfi provided evidence to discredit Bawumia's claim that he has created over two million employment in the past six years.
