Be Loyal and Patriotic – Bawumia Charges NACOC Officers

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia was a guest of honor at the graduation ceremony for the seventh intake of the Narcotics Control Commission, which was held at the Ghana Immigration Academy and Training School in Assin Fosu, Central Region.
A giddy vice president who recently had to defend the government's creation of two million jobs for Ghanaians tweeted, "I noted that our government has created many opportunities for the recruitment of personnel into the security services. In 2017, when we assumed office, the Immigration Service employed a total of 2,850 officers. Today, six years later, the number has risen to 14,300 as a result of the expansion of training, housing, and other facilities."
In contrast, he stated, "during the eight years preceding our election, the Immigration Service recruited fewer than 500 individuals."
In his address to the new officers, he urged them to execute their duties in accordance with the principles of diligence, patriotism, and honesty.
