Kwasi Korang, a member of Alan Kyerematen's campaign team, asserts that any candidate other than the former minister of trade and industry would be an NPP presidential candidate in the 2024 general elections.
He declared Alan Cash, as he is affectionately known, to be the only candidate capable of breaking the NPP's eight-year jinx and garnering enormous support in 2024.
"The ultimate goal is for Alan to be elected as the presidential candidate," he said on the Frontline program of Rainbow Radio 87.5FM. I would implore the delegates to select a candidate with caution. Delegates, grassroots activists, and Ghanaians in general unanimously support him. If you elect someone other than Alan Cash, that individual will serve as a presidential candidate, but not as president.
Alan is the only candidate capable of breaking the eight-year curse. Alan must receive our vote. We should select someone who is popular among Ghanaians. We need someone capable of mobilizing each and every voter in 2024. We need someone we can rely on."
"If you want to break the 8 and have a candidate that Ghanaians prefer, but you refuse to file that candidate, then you are not prepared for power," he continued. I would urge delegates not to be misled by party appointees who are egotistical, greedy, and only interested in personal gain, thus promoting candidates who are neither viable nor competent.
