Due to their lack of knowledge, the Ga-Dangmes have lost ownership of land in Accra, according to Rev. Lawrence Tetteh.

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, the founder and executive director of World Miracle Outreach, has lamented the Ga- Dangme people's loss of ownership over lands in Accra.

He claimed that due to their lack of education, the Ga people sold their property for cheap to non-natives.

The pastor said in an interview on GTV on Thursday that GhanaWeb was watching that he hoped Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the nation's first president, had made free education available to all Ghanaians. The pastor was talking about how beneficial free education was in the northern portions of Ghana.

"One of Nkrumah's biggest contributions to Ghana was to provide free education to our northern brethren... Due to free education, northerners are now more integrated into our culture than southerners.

In fact, I wish Nkrumah had provided free education for everyone. Even if they had been educated, some of my great-grand uncles and aunts in Dodowa wouldn't have sold all of our lands. Foreigners and strangers now reside on Ga-Dangme land. As a result of our lack of education, non-Ga-Dangme people occupy the land in the Greater Accra Region.

"They gave the Ga and Dangme people bicycles and abandoned trucks, and they (the foreigners) took large tracts of land, so now non-Ga people are in charge of our lands," the Ga people said. If you go to the North, it's not the same; the same is not true if you go to Kumasi, he claimed.

Rev. Tetteh further stated that due to a lack of education, Gas are fighting for unimportant matters such as chieftaincy.
