Former President Mahama rendering an address

John Dramani Mahama is on a two-day campaign visit to the Western North Region, where he has met the constituency executives and branch executives in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency and appealed to them to vote for him in the 2024 general elections so he can lead the NDC to power.

In his address to the delegates at Sefwi Tanoso at Pentecost Church, he urged all National Democratic Congress (NDC) party members to work diligently and triumph overwhelmingly in 2024.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama stated that he has heard the former minister of environment, science, technology, and innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, allege that the NPP was behind the galamsey activities and that Jubilee House bigwigs were among those involved.

Former President John Dramani Mahama stated that for Professor Frimpong Boateng to come out boldly and name some individuals signifies that the truth has finally come out that the NPP has deforested our forest reserves, when we did not witness these galamsey activities under former presidents Kufour, Mills, and J.J. Rawlings and are now causing deforestation of our forest reserves while arresting some Ghanaians and allowing their party members to live.

He claimed that MPs, MMDCEs, and other government officials are responsible for community mining.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama added that when the NDC was in power, cocoa farmers received incentives, free fertilizers, and price adjustments, but the current government has failed miserably to assist cocoa farmers and is purchasing inputs at exorbitant prices.

In spite of this, the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency Chairman, Yaw Berimah, has pledged to vote significantly for former president John Mahama and is working to unite the grassroots to reclaim the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency seat.
