GES announces SHS 1 resuming date after releasing 2023 school placement

Fri, 17 Feb 2023 Source: Alby News Ghana

Dr. Eric Nkansah, the Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has announced the schools that graduates from the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be admitted to. This includes the names of the schools and the dates students will be able to start attending. Parents and the general public are advised to be aware of this information.

The 2023 computerized school selection and placement system (CSSPS) is now live for all 2022 JHS graduates to check their school of placement.

Today, Dr. Eric Nkansah released the 2022 placement for JHS graduates. This means that most of them will be going to high schools and vocational schools across the country.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, GES and TVET Service will hold a press conference to announce the release of computerized school placements. This will allow students to choose their schools more easily, and parents will be able to monitor their children's progress more easily.

Good morning everyone, and thank you for coming to this press conference. We're delighted to have you here to talk about the computerized placement of candidates who completed their education in 2022.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) released the results of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) on January 25, 2023. As usual, the Service received the results data and began preparing for the placement process.

Out of all the candidates who registered to run in the 2022 election, 538,399 of them qualified to be placed in one of their chosen races. Out of these, 372,780 (or 69.24%) of them have been automatically placed in one of their choices.

Many students who applied to schools didn't get in, so they are doing Self-Placement to find a school.

To access the placement platform, you will need to follow the steps below. First, you will need to find the location of the platform. Once you have located it, you will need to follow the instructions on the platform to access it.

To find an appropriate placement, you need to get a code from an approved provider.

To log onto the website www.cssps.gov.gh, you need to first obtain a pin code. After you have obtained the pin code, you can then log in to the site.

To find the index number for a specific year, add 22 to the ten-digit number

When you submit your application, you'll see a message that says "Placement is pending." This means that the school has not yet decided where to place you.

If you have been placed in a school, you need to fill out this form and visit the school to begin the admission process.

If you don't find a school that you like in the automatic placement system, you can try the self- placement portal. From the portal, you can find a school that's a good fit for you.

This is where we live.

People often prefer to live in places where they feel comfortable and safe.

At school, we learn about different things. This includes learning how to read, write, and do math.

When you submit your form, it will send it to the right people who can help you.

To begin the admissions process, you'll need to print the form and visit the school.

You can change which school you want to attend at any time on the portal.

The first-year students at the school will report to school on February 20, 2023. From February 20, 2023, they can start arriving at school for registration and orientation for their academic year.

Please be careful when paying someone to get your child into a particular school. The GES (Government of Ghana Education Service) strongly cautions you against doing this, as this could be done by people who are trying to take advantage of you. If you become aware of someone trying to do this to you, please report it to the Police or GES.

The Service (GES) advised all school heads to use the approved prospectus, while also advising parents to cooperate with school officials during and after the admission process.

There are several ways to get help if you have a problem with the Service. You can go to a solution center at your local Education office, or at the National level, there is a solution center at the GNAT Hall. If you have a problem with the GES call center, they have well-trained staff who can help you.
