George Britton discusses his opinion of Bisa KDei's performance of funeral songs.

Despite Bisa KDei's immense potential, Ghanaians have come under fire from music industry mogul and artist manager George Mensah Britton for underestimating his artistic aptitude.

Britton clarified the support for musicians and the entertainment industry in an interview with AJ Sarpong and Berla Mundi on TV3 New Day.

Bisa Kdei has earned the moniker "funeral singer" despite having one of Ghana's most well-known musical voices due to its attractiveness, particularly to those attending funerals.

Britton thinks the title is derogatory and unjust to Bisa Kdei's talent and years of dedication.

"Bisa Kdei is one of the performers that people in this country genuinely look down on. They label him as a funeral singer, but he frequently appears in top discussions. I mean, a few days ago, there was talk about the Grammys, and Bisa Kdei was the only Ghanaian man mentioned by name.

Britton underlined further that every musician deserves the opportunity to represent Ghanaian music on a worldwide level as long as they are willing to put in the effort.

There shouldn't be a distinction between "this person deserves it, and another doesn't" when promoting an act abroad. Every person who views music as a business and wants to do it well deserves to be encouraged.
