Ghanaians protest excessively about the government's decision to approach the IMF, according to a Methodist Bishop

There is nothing wrong with the government going to the IMF despite swearing not to, according to Methodist Bishop Bosompem Ayensu.

He claimed that despite the government's assurances to Ghanaians that it would never do so, this has happened.

He asserted that we should be held responsible for the country's current situation forcing us to return to the IMF.

"This wasn't done on purpose. Although they had previously promised not to, the government had informed us that it would not return to the IMF. Every action we take has a purpose, he said to Kwabena Agyapong on Frontline at Rainbow Radio 87.5FM.

He bemoaned the fact that some Ghanaians continued whining while providing little.

"What happened was not planned, and if we discover anything planned, we'll speak up. People sometimes grumble that we pay too much taxes. Ghanaians are dishonest and evil. We don't want to support one another. We need to be accountable, sincere, and patriotic.

In addition to blaming the government, we should also blame ourselves as Ghanaians. We keep placing the blame on the government while denying any responsibility for our own part in the disaster we are in. What else are we doing to advance the nation?
