I didn't sample Sloopy Mike Gyamfi's Asem Kakra on Asseda

Nana Osei, better known as Nacee in the music industry, has refuted claims that he sampled Sloopy Mike Gyamfi's 'Asem Kakra' on his 'Aseda' track.

He stated, "I did not sample Nana Mike Gyamfi's Asem Kakra for my Aseda song, but I do want to emphasize that these legends are our mentors and have inspired us since we were children.

He continued, "Sometimes the path that was paved by our elders is the same path that we are also pursuing, and it is the same Highlife that we are all performing, with the exception that I mention God's name in my songs.

In an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, Nacee stated that he was unaware that another song was playing in his mind while he was performing his song.

"When I was performing my Aseda song, I had no idea that Sloopy Mike Gyamfi's song was even playing in my head, so it was nothing like that," he said, adding that he was aware of the song.

He stated, "But it was nothing and nowhere near when I was performing Aseda, so whatever the case may be, melodically speaking, some parts may sound similar."

"Some people say I sampled K.K. Kabobo, others say Daughters of Glorious Jesus, and others say I sampled Moses by A.B. Crentsil," he argued, "but I'm honored that all these legends are being associated with my Aseda song."
