Peter Gregory Obi, a Labour Party presidential candidate, stated that people did not vote for him in the recently concluded presidential election, but they did place their faith in him.
The former governor of Anambra state made the remark while speaking at Saturday's "Handshake Across Nigeria" event, which took place in Enugu state.
Peter Obi stated that young people placing their trust in him is one of the primary reasons he cannot afford to let them down.
In the viral video, he is heard saying, "When I was speaking to some young people backstage, I told them that nobody voted for me in the last election, but that the young people had placed their hope in me, and God would not permit me to let them down. This is due to the fact that when people vote for you, they only place their trust in you.
