Gospel singer Obaapa Christy claimed that should Dancehall King Shatta Wale request a collaboration, she will gladly accept it.
The gospel brotherhood has engaged in spirited debate over whether it is appropriate for Christians to listen to secular music.
Speaking about the subject, Christy emphasized that what matters is the message. If a secular musician approaches Obaapa about writing a song with them, she will first make sure the lyrics are to God's honor, according to Obaapa.
She added that their gospel songs' lyrics are drawn from real-world events. The addition of God makes the sole difference.
Christy claimed that because she doesn't discriminate, she will record a gospel song with Shatta Wale whenever he requests one.
She feels that the lyrics are where Christian must draw the line when it comes to popular secular music.
On last night's episode of United Showbiz with Mzgee on UTV, she made this submission.
