The light heavyweight division is being rocked by the Ghanaian fighter.

In order to pursue his dream of becoming a boxer in the UK, Gyimah left Ghana in 2012.

Seth Gyimah, also known as Freezy MacBones in the ring, stunned veteran Darryl Sharp in the Copper Box Arena in London on Sunday, bringing a new boxing sensation to Ghana.

Gyimah (33), who won and outfought his opponent, was competing in just his second professional bout at light heavyweight.

Ghanaians have expressed their gratitude to the boxer for his achievements and are only beginning his career after coming to the UK a few years ago.

Seth Gyimah has shared details of his path from Ghana to professional boxer.

Gyimah was born and reared in Ghana, where he spent the majority of his childhood, but in 2012 he emigrated to the United Kingdom in search of better opportunities.

Gyimah, a mason in Ghana, had aspirations of becoming a boxer, but his home country's conditions prevented him from pursuing his objectives, leaving him desperate for new surroundings.

At the age of 27, Gyimah began to work his way toward becoming a wrestler via effort and perseverance. He had two victories in two fights after six years.

After a fight, Seth Gyimah responds

"Life is hilarious," I can very clearly recall my first visit to London. I was lost and unable to communicate well in English. There were many events, and I ultimately spent the night outside.

"At the age of 27, I decided to take a risk and try something new. I received a lot of criticism, and many around me lacked confidence in me. They only kept repeating that. I can't do it now; it's too late.

"Right now, my family, friends, and supporters are watching me live on BT Sport here on Queens Berry Promotions. That's incredible.

"I started from nothing, but with faith and dedication to my work, I will succeed. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and support. Your affection and assistance mean a lot to me.

"It's time to get frozen. Let's do it, baby."

Clottey offers advice to Richard Commey.

Earlier, Sports Brief claimed that former IBF Welterweight Champion Joshua Clottey has instructed Ghanaian boxer Richard Oblitey Commey to focus on earning money in the sport.

The 36-year-old Commey has lost his last three fights after falling to Jose Ramirez in the United States.

He reportedly earned $500,000 from his last fight with Ramirez in addition to an additional 65% from Pay Per View sales.
