Former electoral commission chair Charlotte Osei made an oblique comment on the potential partiality of the recently elected electoral commission members to Ellen Ama Daaku, a member of the NPP's communication team.

In reaction to a video of Ellen Ama Daaku denouncing the president's selections for the EC on TV3, Charlotte Osei tweeted, "I see. Whoever runs the EC or who works for it won't have an impact on the outcome of the election, Ellen Daaku said during a panel discussion on TV3's New Day program.

And for this reason, it makes no difference who the EC's commissioners and president are. She reassured, "You'll win an election.

She thinks the various parties should concentrate on making sure their numbers are accurate at the polling places rather than fretting about who will serve as the election's referee.

In order to have it available to you in the case that you feel you have been scammed, "You ought to be able to count your ballot and understand the results." There, you need to get organized. Whoever the referee is, as long as you get the job done. Nobody will get along with everyone in our country, she said.

Three new EC board members received their oaths of office from the president on Monday, March 20, 2023. Since then, there have been increasing calls for the resignation of two of the three members.
