It appears that Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, two Nollywood actors, provide the voices for these comedic characters.
Charles Okpaleke first announced the 'Epic Run' game in 2021, writing, "We are pleased to announce that in accordance with our exclusive exploitation rights to the 'Aki & PawPaw' brand, we are in the final stages of developing the first ever Nollywood game, Aki & Paw Paw Epic Run, powered by @playnetworkafr and @playnetworkstudios.."
In 2021, his studio obtained the rights to the Aki and Pawpaw brand and remade the Aki And Pawpaw film that was released the same year.
Ikedieze and Iheme first portrayed Aki and Pawpaw in the 2002 film Aki Na Ukwa.
They are now Nollywood household names, amusing memes, and Nigerian pop culture icons after more than two decades.
