Former President John Dramani Mahama and one of his sons, Sharaf Mahama, have once again ignited the Internet after posting a photo of fugu. The comments posted below the post demonstrate that Ghanaians have a deep affection for Mahama and his son (and all of his offspring).
On Labor Day, Mahama and Sharaf donned fugu, a popular handwoven fabric in the northern regions of Ghana, to celebrate the holiday. They coupled the vibrant fugu with black pants and black footwear.
Some Ghanaians who saw the photo on social media immediately fell in love with the couple.
Instagram user koodwomah_55 wrote, "The most gorgeous thing I've seen all day is my family.
Another user, Vida Adwoa Bentil, remarked, "Father and Son things are lovely."
Even though the majority of the comments merely complimented their appearance, some went further than that. They asserted that Mahama may be preparing his son for a political career, hence the frequent publicity.
Instagram user pat_riciaquainoo wrote, "He is preparing his son for an agenda; he now follows him everywhere he goes, but Sharaf has much to learn to become like his father."
King Morgan Jnr., another user, added: "Haha...He is preparing his son to become the future leader of this country, so he is constantly with him while mentoring some of his party members...JDM woy3 legend."
The current leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahama, is renowned for his close relationship with his offspring. We at are not politically biased, but we know for a fact that he does not shield his children from the public eye and loves them as any responsible father would.
John Mahama shares many moments and connections with his adopted daughter Farida Mahama, but he also has a very strong relationship with Sharaf. This is one of the reasons why Sharaf and his sister Farida are so prominent on Instagram.
