Popular Ghanaian performer Kwadwo Nkansah, often known by his stage name "Lil Win," has said that he spent years doing various movie roles without being paid.

In an interview with Nhyira FM, the actor described his situation and said that despite the difficulties he encountered during those years, he continued to perform onstage uncompensated. He added that he took this action because he anticipated the day when movie makers would be required to compensate him for his services.

"I wasn't paid at all during the entire time I was acting, but I persisted. I knew the day would come when they would no longer be able to use me for free," he stated.

Lil Win said that those who are in similar circumstances shouldn't give up on their aspirations and should instead keep working hard in their chosen industry even if they are not being paid.

"In whatever you think you are good at, give it out free to people because a day will come when the same people will have to pay you before you work for them," he advised.

In order to be able to demand higher money when the time comes, he continued, they should concentrate on honing their talents while providing their services for free.

Lil Win's counsel to aspiring performers and artists is especially pertinent in Ghana's entertainment sector, where many young people struggle to find employment that pays a living wage. He believes that anyone can succeed with commitment and effort, even if they begin by doing unpaid work.

Lil Win has overcome obstacles in his career despite being one of Ghana's most well-liked performers and is renowned for his humorous performances and enjoyable films.

Many young individuals in Ghana who want to break into the entertainment sector find inspiration in his narrative.
