NDC Can Ban Me If I Angry Koku Anyidoho Greetings Ablakwa Okudzeto

Koku Anyidoho, the former deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded to a recent outburst by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu. The MP was recently recorded promising not to back other lawmakers who disobeyed party directives and voted against the confirmation of new government appointees.Koku, who has argued against his alleged removal from the party on numerous occasions, claimed that his long-held beliefs about betrayal in the party were being confirmed.I shall glorify my Maker while I have breath, he captioned a video of Ablakwa.

Greetings from the "principled thinking" club.Ablakwa's words:Speaking last Friday at the Obaasima Campus Tour event at the University of Health and Allied Science in Ho, Ablakwa claimed that the NDC had lost credibility in the eyes of many Ghanaians as a result of the actions of some of his colleagues. He continued by saying that even if it results in his expulsion from the party, he will not cooperate with the "treacherous" NDC MPs.When the vote was held after the press conferences and public guarantees, more than 30 of you stabbed us in the back. "They said we should hold a press conference and tell the Ghanaian public that we will vote against (the president's appointees), that we are opposed."And you believe that because you are a member of my party, I would stand by you.

I won't because the Ghanaians won't take us seriously the next time we go and do a press conference because we don't even have credibility.I don't believe in cunning politics, politics devoid of principles, or politics based on betrayal.

And if I'm ever suspended or expelled from the party as a result of it, so be it," he remarked. Background:Following a contentious debate, 24 hours earlier, and a difficult voting procedure, Parliament on Friday, March 24, confirmed President Akufo-Addo's nominations for all six ministerial positions as well as the nominees for the Supreme Court.Final results declared by Speaker Alban Bagbin showed that all nominees obtained more votes than the minimum of 138 votes required because out of the 275 eligible voters, there were three absent. Some National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament (MPs) disregarded the party's decision to vote against the nominees' ratification.Leading NDC stalwarts, including as former President John Dramani Mahama, criticized the MPs who defected and charged them with betraying NDC followers and Ghanaians in the name of their own self-interest.Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu, has asked the suspected bribed MPs—Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, the MP for Cape Coast South—to explain to Ghanaians why they voted to confirm Akufo-Addo's candidates.
