The NPP USA hosted a lively and memorable youth forum and dinner performance on April 29 with the theme "Our Youth, Our Strength, Our Hope, Our Future."

The occasion took place in the conference room of the Royal Regency Hotel in Yonkers, New York.

The conference, which attracted more than 200 attendees, was open to all members and sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party and consists of two sessions: the forum and the dinner dance.

Mrs. Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, Chairperson of NPP USA, and H.E. Daniel Kingsley Atta Boafo, Consul General, New York Mission, graced the event. The Guest of Honor was Her Excellency Samira Bawumia, 2nd Lady of the Republic of Ghana.

Linda Asante, Deputy CEO of the National Petroleum Agency, Jerry Osei-Poku, NPP Eastern Regional Organizer, Dr. Issah Imoro, Lecturer at the University of Development Studies, Napaga Tia Sulemana, National Coordinator, Special Development Initiatives, Office of the President, Richard Gyamfi, Head of International Affairs, Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, Francis E. Donkor, Cincinnati Chapter Chairman and former NPP-USA Deputy Youth Organizer, S

The forum covered a variety of topics, including what the party is doing to energize its base in preparation for the 2024 election, mentoring programs to equip the youth with the necessary leadership skills/knowledge to understand and deploy patriotism, nationalism, good governance, and visionary leadership, and proposing models, structures, and approaches for establishing and administering a leadership mentoring program for NPP youth.

Danny Antwi, the NPP-USA Youth Organizer, spoke about the accomplishments of the NPP-USA Youth Wing, such as dining with the Kumasi Children's Home on Good Friday 2023, donating rice, oil, geisha tinned fish, and key soap to 51 widows, and hosting a soccer tournament to encourage the youth of our party to focus on sensitizing and increasing the capacity of youth in peacebuilding, coexisting, and leadership development.

He stated, "The NPP Youth are seeking more opportunities to join the bus in order to assist the NPP in retaining power and developing Ghana." I am convinced that we can be the architects of positive change that the party needs to break the eight-year losing streak in Ghana's political history.

He pleaded with our party members to abandon sentimentalism and the appearance of animosity, greed, backbiting, and the creation of needless adversaries, as well as to stop allowing our opponents, the NDC, and the media to set our agenda as a political party.

Mr. Kwabena Appiah, MD of State Housing Company, stated that the youth are the future of our party and will carry on the traditions we establish. "It is our responsibility to leave them a better tradition than the one we inherited," he emphasized. In addition, he stated that it is necessary to establish a party that is just, equitable, and sustainable, and that every party member must have access to opportunities for growth and development.

The chairman of the event, H.E. Daniel Kingsley Atta Boafo, Consul General, New York Mission, reassured the youth and members in attendance that the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration has accomplished so much and continues to do so despite the hardships that have affected us in areas such as education, health, roads security, and other infrastructural development.

The Chairperson of the NPP-USA Branch, Obaa Yaa Frimpong, highlighted the lack of trust that young people have in the extant political, economic, and social systems as a topic of discussion among the youth of our dear country Ghana.

She stated, "As a nation, we must honor them with transparency, accountability, trust, and a focus on stakeholder engagement where they are offered a seat at the table to discuss issues of relevance that are incredibly important to them, as this is essential to meeting their generation's aspirations and expectations. We must also entrust them with the authority to initiate meaningful change. When discussing our global future, the next generation is the most influential and affected stakeholder, and we owe them more than this.

The Special Guest of Honor, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia, 2nd Lady of the Republic of Ghana, spoke about the remarkable achievements of former President John Kufuor on roads and the achievements of the Akkufo-Addo – Bawumia administration in comparison to the NDC Mills – Mahama administration.

She also testified that the Nana Addo – Bawumia government has appointed a number of young people into important government positions, such as Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, Napaga Tia Sulemana, and Nana Yaw Koranteng, who have made us all proud. She said that when making decisions about the future of our party, we must consider our future leaders, the direction of the party, and its prosperity, because today's leaders were yesterday's youth and today's youth will be tomorrow's leaders. She emphasized that we need a solid foundation to overcome the eight and that we must remain the course to win the next election. She stated, "I believe it's safe to say that the road to victory in 2024 has officially begun."

Members indulged in Ghanaian and continental cuisine and beverages, and danced to Ghanaian music. "We really enjoyed it a great deal and dispersed with the sincere hope that such mega events will be organized again to strengthen our party, NPP," said one of the party's members following the program.

Certificates were presented to Patrons, Chapter Youth Organizers, and benefactors, while plaques were presented to the Chairman of USA and the second lady.
