Nana Tete Odwo-Kwao III has been installed as chief of Amanfrom, a small agricultural community in the Eastern Region's Okere District.

Nana Odwo-Kwao, also known as Daniel Tete in his private life, is a 35-year-old businessman regarded by his community as courageous, fearless, self-assured, a delightful problem solver, and a community builder and leader.

He succeeds Nana Odwo-Kwao II, who is elderly and has been unable to perform his traditional duties for many years due to illness.

Nana Tete Odwo-Kwao took the oath of allegiance in front of the Abusuapanin, Robert Agyiri Mantey, as well as the area's leaders and inhabitants.

The Abusuapanin advised the new chief to serve the town's residents with diligence.

Lord

Mr. Mantey admonished the new chief against lording it over the people and he pleaded with the populace to help him realize his goal of expanding the city.

He urged him to strive towards the development of the city by promoting peace and unity.

The Abusuapanin offered congratulations on the new chief's installation.

Nana Addo Boadu Ababio II, an Amanfrom opinion leader, informed journalists following the event that Nana Odwo-Kwao was unwell and therefore unable to continue serving as chief of the region.

The indisposed chief therefore requested that the town's kingmakers and elders find a replacement for him.

However, he was pleased that a new chief had been installed to continue the excellent work of the previous one, allowing everyone in the town to coexist in peace.

Nana Ababio urged the new chief to prioritize the region's growth.

Defend tripod

In the interest of the Akuapem Traditional Area and Ghana as a whole, he urged the new chief to defend the throne and pleaded with the kingmakers to assist him in elevating the Amanfrom town.

Kwabena Bekoe, the Asafoatse of Amanfrom, stated that the lack of development and other social amenities in the area had become the town's greatest challenges.

He was confident, however, that Nana Tete Odwo Kwao III would rise to the occasion and resolve all issues.

Mr. Bekoe stated that the town lacked a variety of social amenities, including access to clean and secure drinking water, convenience stores, a market center, and a senior high school.
