Osabarima Kwesi Atta II has been urged by Kyerematen to persuade delegates in his region to support his presidential campaign.

Alan Kyerematen has requested Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the paramount chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, to urge delegates in his region to support his presidential campaign.

As part of his tour of the Central Region, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate gave the paramount chief a courtesy visit and said this.

When given the position of president of the republic, the former minister of trade and industry laid forth his goals for the nation.

He admitted that the constitution forbids chiefs from participating in party politics, but he asserted that since they are significant development stakeholders, chiefs and traditional rulers should support the causes of those they believe can further development.

Kyerematen argued that because development is what they look for in a leader, it is crucial that chiefs and traditional leaders have a say in who becomes president.

To welcome Kyerematen to the Central Region, tens of thousands of his supporters flocked to the palace of the paramount chief.

Orientation to the Central Region

Kyerematen requested the paramount chief's approval before beginning his visit to the area at his palace.

A group of fans waited for Kyerematen and his entourage to arrive at the palace while listening to brass band music while wearing t-shirts with the "Alan" logo and other NPP memorabilia.

The campaign spokeswoman for Kyerematen, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, stated that he thought it was crucial to officially tell Osabarima Kwesi Atta II and the residents of the Central Region of Kyerematen's presidential aspirations and to ask for their support. The area is Asamoa's native land.
