It has finally been done to honor Emmanuel Baiden, also known as Abukabakar Sadik, who was allegedly slain by police in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis.

The Western Region Police Command's officers detained the 25-year-old after suspecting him of being an armed robber.

The station where he was brought after being arrested was out of reach for family members, friends, and other locals. The Command later told his family that the deceased passed away from gunshot wounds.

The family claimed that they were informed by the police that Baiden was killed in a shootout with the police when they spoke to Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM's Omanbapa morning show.

"The police say he was exchanging gunfire with them when they apprehended him at his home, and he passed unexpectedly as a result. We are unsure of how to accept this story, but we will put it in God's hands, according to Muhammad Jawal, a family representative.

Following an examination at the Police Hospital in Accra, it was determined that the suspect had died from gunshot wounds.

"We were told to take our relative's body away when we got at the Accra mortuary because it had been bagged. When we insisted that the body undergo an autopsy, they took the bag off and revealed to us that he had been shot in the chest. He was shot at close range, we learned afterwards. Pascal Hagan, an assembly member representing Ntankoful, said, "We wanted to know why a person who was arrested ended up being shot, but the police told us we cannot show them their job."

When the late Abubakar Sadik and another Ntankoful resident, Ouattara, were arrested, Ouattara went missing.

The Assemblyman claims that they think the cops are also responsible for his death.

"The attendant at the Accra morgue informed us that two dead had been brought in by the Takoradi police that day. He wanted us to remove both bodies, but the cops wouldn't let us. We believe Ouattara was also killed, and we believe the body was his. Since we haven't heard anything about him since he was taken into custody alongside Abu, we will confront the police about his whereabouts when I meet with his family, he said.
