Rainfall Destroys Portions of the Tumu Road in Sissala East

Saturday, April 29, 2023, torrential rainfall rendered inaccessible portions of Tumu Road, specifically Nahadaqui, according to reports received by Upper West Media Team.

The Development has halted agricultural activities and the transportation of products. Concerned businessmen and women in the Sissala Enclave have urged the Coordinating Council to address the road's deplorable condition.

Meanwhile, Radford FM was on-site and can affirm that road users will soon have access to a motorized route.

A portion of Tumu Road that leads to Lawra According to the Regional Coordinating Council, five contractors were awarded construction contracts.

The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Bin Salih, disclosed this information in an interview with Seyidou Bhomanjo of Radio Upper West on July 18, 2022.

Passengers and road users are currently detained at Nahadaqui as a result of last night's rainfall, which rendered a portion of the under-construction Tumu Wa road impassable. According to reports, the contractor is on-site attempting to find alternatives for the stranded vehicles and passengers.
