Ghanaian socialite Shugatiti sued popular man of God Frank Gogo and two other people for defaming her by referring to her as "Mami Wata," a sea demon.

Speaking with host Msomfo Efia Empress on Oman Channel, Frank Gogo claimed that the businesswoman was utilizing exoteric skills to entice people to purchase her food.

Gogo went on to assert that anyone who visits the restaurant and consumes food will be possessed, particularly women because they are more likely to fall under the influence of Shugatiti.

"She is controlled by a marine spirit, and everybody who enters her restaurant will get controlled as well. In the spiritual realms, she reigns as queen. Every woman who has eaten at her restaurant has been possessed.

"She was dispatched to destroy by the devil. She doesn't even need to speak to you or have an experience with you in order to seduce women who come to her restaurant.Everyone who enters her establishment should exercise extreme caution, the pastor advised in the interview.

Shugatiti has vigorously refuted these allegations and sued Gogo, the media outlet Mama Radio GH, and anchor Msomfo Efia Empress on the grounds that her reputation had been irreparably harmed.

In addition to seeking general damages for character defamation, punitive damages, and four other claims, the lawsuit asserts that the defendants' statements are defamatory.

She claims that the accusations are wholly false and have damaged her reputation beyond repair.

Shugatiti announced the defamation lawsuit on Twitter and pressed Gogo for proof that she was a sea monster, saying she was ready to face him in court.

"Members of Frank Gogo (Ekatso) church inform your pastor to meet me in court to prove that I'm a demon of the sea with evidence of entering the sea," the tweet read.

According to the court documents that were obtained, the plaintiff is a "demon-possessed person of questionable character and means, and it is dangerous for ordinary right-thinking members of society to be associated with, acquainted with, or have any contact whatsoever with the dentist."

In her statement of claim, Shugatiti requests that the court rule "That the words uttered by defendants on Oman Channel which was published on 16th April on OMAN Channel can be found on Youtube is defamatory."

Additionally, it requests "General damages for defamation of character," "Punitive damages," and 4 other claims in addition to others.
