An African proud Black woman who uses the handle Nyabannnn on Tik Tok submitted the video there back in February. The video is a brief excerpt that was taken from what appears to be an American award ceremony because it features a few American superstars. On stage, a Black woman is performing a poem that only features Black folks, Black girls, and Black women.

I'm only going to write the parts of what she says that, if you're Black, will send chills down your spine."You sound really Black. When you smile, the stars come out because you are so Black. When you are born, you are so Black—the deity emerges as pitch-black. When anything is proper or wrong, it is black. Black connotes mathematics and pyramids. In magic, black is melanized. Black is depicted on television as needing significant Black improvements. The palm of the Black hand is enhanced by Black, Black with opportunities, Black with privilege, Black with pride.

"Black and gorgeous. Praise the Lord, you Black and Blessed and highly favored one. Black and everything else, nothing less. Black people are intelligent, clever, strong, and limitless like hip-hop and space. Black embodies grace and kindness. Black is rough, Black is difficult to deal with, Black makes babies grow up.

"I am black. You are black. Though it is not something we can select, black is something we can treasure. I am Black like my grandfather and my great great grandmother, thus it is something we get to wear and we get to rock this with pride. The lift in every voice and song is black. Your liberation is being rung and resounded by black. Black is a noun, an adjective, an adverb, and a color.
