We Will Not Reveal The Identity Of Board Members For Safety Reasons - VGMA's Chief Operating Officer

Robert Klah, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), has stated that the identities of the board members responsible for selecting nominees and victors will never be disclosed.

According to him, the decision was made to safeguard the safety of the board members, as they have received threats in the past and have been subjected to online harassment, leading to safety concerns.

In order to avoid potential damage, this has compelled the scheme to keep the identities of the board members secret.

Robert stated in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on 3FM, "The thing is, we've had board members who have received threats in the past, so it's best not to share information about these individuals."

Using the Grammy Awards as an example, Robert, an event planner, opined that the Recording Academy's over 11,000 decision-makers are largely unknown.

Robert Klah remarked that the board members are a diverse group of individuals with various musical industry backgrounds and expertise who take their responsibilities extremely seriously.
