The late Christian Atsu was married to Marie-Claire Rupio and had three beautiful children with his wife.
The duo tied the knot in 2012 after meeting Portugal when Atsu played for FC Porto. Definitely, love tied the two down together all these years.
But his demise has left a huge vacuum in his wife’s heart.
“I see all the messages, but as you all can understand, this is [a] very hard time. This was the father of my three children,” Rupio recently wrote.
Due to the deep love they both shared, we take a trip down memory lane when Christian Atsu professed how much he loved his beloved wife.
In July 2021, during an interview on Tv3 sports, the late Black Stars player said his love for Rupio is unquenchable especially when they have three children together.
“I met my wife in Portugal and you can see we have a beautiful family. We’ve been together for nine to ten years and I just love her,” said the skillful winger.
But now Rupio and her children are coming to terms with his death.
A one-week observation in memory of departed Ghana international, Christian Atsu, has been scheduled for Saturday, March 4.
Meanwhile, the family has asked for space to mourn its son.
