Kennedy Agyapong, the representative for the Assin-Central constituency, has lashed out at his wife for attempting to shield a purportedly corrupt health worker who exploited a health worker at a government hospital.
The Assin-Central legislator was approached by a woman he had encountered in public who informed him that a corrupt nurse was stealing money from a hospital in Ghana.
According to the Honorable Minister, the nurse erroneously wrote a GHC40 receipt for her when the only amount she paid at the hospital was GHC250. As a result, the nurse was disciplined for writing an incorrect receipt.
According to his narration, his wife, who was present during the narration, instructed the woman not to mention the name of the hospital, and he takes objection to this.
He went on to say that he would have mentioned the hospital's name had it not been for the reasons he had for keeping it confidential.
The member of parliament who labeled his wife corrupt for denying the woman the opportunity to mention the name of the hospital stated that he will dismiss his wife immediately if she continues the same behavior until he becomes president of Ghana.
