Navrongo constituency Deputy Youth Organizer hopeful and Regional Deputy TEIN coordinator of Upper East Region, Afabla Ayine Castro has successfully filed his nomination in a bid for the mantle as Deputy Youth organizer for Navrongo constituency of the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The Deputy Regional TEIN coordinator submitted his forms earlier this week specifically on 29/09/2022 at the party constituency office in Navrongo.
Speaking to the media after the filing of his nomination, Mr Afabla Ayine Castro, popularly known as Manager was upbeat about his chances of being elected Deputy Youth Organizer of the NDC in Navrongo Central.
“I am very optimistic that the delegates of our party will endorse my bid massively come October 22nd. The delegates of our party have never made a mistake when it comes to electing officers of the party and I know with what I have presented, they will come out to vote for me massively”, he said.
Asked about his message to delegates, Mr Afabla Ayine indicated that his campaign message was developed after broad consultation with the rank and file of the party. According to him, that is what inspired the "Power To The Youth" Project, the headline of his campaign message.
He said, “I think that we need to focus on making the Youth Wing more attractive to young people and that will come when we position the party to focus more on young people, what interest them and their needs especially supporting youth in entertainment and sports. This will mean certain structures and processes must be relooked at. We have done a lot of consultations and that is what forms the "Power To The Youth" Project that I wish to spearhead when elected. Meanwhile, the constituency elections of the National Democratic Congress, NDC is scheduled to come off on the 22nd of October 2022 across the country with the Exception of The Eastern Region.
