Breaking News: Krachi East MCE reportedly found dead in a hotel room

The Municipal Chief Executive for Krachi East municipality in the Oti Region, Francis Okesu has died.

Mr Okesu was found dead in a hotel room in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Reports say he checked into the hotel Friday night but was not seen again raising suspicion.

After several unanswered knocks on his door by staff of the facility, they forced the door open and found him dead.

The incident has been reported to the Oforikrom District police command and investigations are underway.

His body has been conveyed to the morgue for autopsy and preservation.
