HASAG, Korle-Bu region to embark on a ‘peace walk and picketing’ to demand the appointment of Mr. Lucas Amewufah as Director of Finance

The health accounting staff association of Ghana (HASAG) Korle-bu region has detailed plans to embark on a 20-day peace walk and Picketing effective March 22 at the facility over the hesitation of management to appoint the acting director of Finance, Mr. Lucas Amewufah as substantive Director.

The group decrying the management’s hesitation in appointing a new director after the retirement of Mr. Maxwell Doe retirement in June 2021 recalled that they have since the beginning of 2023 sent several petitions to management on that effect which yielded no result.

The president of the association in a notice to the police commander detailed the planned peace walk will have in attendance over 100 members of the association gathering at the forecourt of the cardiothoracic center through the streets of the accident center and end at the central administration or a presentation of a petition to management or Board members for the first day after which they will be picketing each day if their demand is not met.

The association in one of their petitions expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the current Director of Finance, Mr. Lucah Amewufah, and is calling on management to make him a substantive director for the good of the association.
