Devastating news reaching our portal has it that a middle-aged man is currently battling for his life after jumping off the overpass constructed in the Northern Region’s capital, Tamale.
In a few seconds of video shared on social media, the young man is sighted falling from the just commissioned two-tier interchange with onlookers dispersion and screaming.
Suspected to have a mental illness, the yet-to-be-identified man is said to have been pushed by an attempt to commit suicide.
We are told that he was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. He sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Police In Tamale have confirmed the incident and have indicated that an investigation has been commenced into the matter.
