Security expert and political activist Nana Ofori Atta has shared his view on Coastal Fm concerning the current happening in the affairs of the country with regards to the sacking of Charles Adu Boahen a minister of state, who is under investigation by the special prosecutor for engaging in some corruptible act.

This is as a result of an expose led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the Tiger Eye Pi which was aired on Monday and Tuesday respectively dubbed the “Galamsey Economy”.

This conversation sparked, has raised some concerns and become a national issue, looking at the current state of the economy where citizens are calling for measures to resurrect the dying economy.

Nana Ofori Atta thus holds a different opinion of the matter.

According to him, the sack of the minister was baseless since the matter has been referred to the Special prosecutor.

He feels a Court of competent jurisdiction has the authority to declare Charles Adu Boahen guilty.

Making reference to the exposé that was shown at the Accra International Conference Center on monday, Mr. Ofori Atta indicated that the title “Galamsey Economy” mismatched the video that was shown to the public making it questionable to warrant the sack of the minister.

Moving forward, the security expert advised the country and the leaders to be more vigilant on who these business people get in contact with, citing ambassadors to be legit bodies engaging these possible investors where their roles are to conduct visibility study of these investors before they get into the country (Ghana).
