Students of Azeem-Namoa Senior High/Technical School in Bongo District of the Upper East Region are calling on the authorities to help with boreholes as an acute water crisis hits the community.

They opined that the community has a single borehole that serves the entire populace at Amanga and the student body as well, a situation they described as worrying and a hindrance to them.

They asserted that the situation has existed in the school since its inception in 2012. According to them, they wake up at 4:00 am and walk a considerable distance outside the campus to fetch water, which has negatively impacted their learning, particularly during classes hours.

Speaking on Bolgatanga based radio station Neesim FM, they appealed to authorities of the Bongo District Assembly to come to their aid as the situation affect the performance of the school.
