Video captures Rev Anthony Boakye’s wife slapping church elder over offertory

CCTV footage showing a woman said to be the wife of Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye allegedly slapping an elder of his husband’s church has been shared online.
In November 2021, it was reported that the founder of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church had suffered a stroke, leaving him crippled and bedridden.
His wife debunked the rumours when she addressed the congregation, clarifying that her husband was only taking a break from his ministry after 19 years for health reasons.
Since then Sofo Maame Boakye has been in charge of the helm of affairs including the church’s finances, perhaps until her husband returns.
However, new surveillance footage that has gone viral shows the moment Mrs Boakye landed a hefty slap on the face of one of the hierarchies of the church during a dispute over offertory.
