Alan Kyerematen, a presidential candidate, is the secret to Ghana's industrial revolution, according to Yaw Boaben Asamoa, a former member of parliament for Adentan.

According to him, given the country's present socioeconomic conditions, Ghana requires a leader with a strong interest in trade and commerce.

Mr. Asamoa, the campaign spokesperson for Mr. Kyerematen, made the remark in an interview on Wednesday's Ekosii Sen program on Asempa FM.

The reason the country's economy is still viable, according to him, is because of the NPP candidate's desire to lead the industrial revolution.

The former representative of Adentan stated that Mr. Kyerematen conceived the government's flagship One District One Factory initiative.

"Ghana's economy is still viable due to Alan Kyerematen's vision. His vision and faith in the industrial revolution have kept the Ghanaian economy viable. Who would have thought that automobiles would be constructed in Ghana? The automobile industry alone has proved the former Trade and Industry Minister's trump card, he said.

Alan, according to Mr. Boaben, is a person who is sensitive to Ghanaian requirements and can convince them of the significance of voting.

Prior to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential elections, he stated that a party seeking to split the 8 cannot bypass Mr. Kyerematen in favor of any other candidate.

Mr. Asamoa added, "If our message is bitter, the credibility of the messenger can soften people's hearts to keep the NPP in power in 2024."

With over a decade of experience as Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Kyerematen is one of the longest-serving sector ministers in Africa, as evidenced by his multiple international appointments.

Mr. Kyerematen, along with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Agric Minister Dr. Afriyie Akoto, former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, and Kennedy Agyapong, would compete in the presidential primaries.
