The demise of another assembly member of the Jirapa Municipality, Hon. Alfred Boolanpuo, has been reported months after the deaths of Richard Badombie and Raymond Buduo Kandbong.
According to our correspondent, he passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
A family member confirmed the report by stating, "Yes, it's sad to corroborate this. Our landlord has passed away. His corpse has been placed in the morgue since his death yesterday.
According to a source close to the deceased lawmaker's family, he fell ill and received medical care for some time before passing away yesterday.
The funeral arrangements will be announced later, according to the source.
The honorable Alfred Boolanpuo was appointed to the Jirapa Municipal Assembly.
In 2019, the Honorable Alfred was one of those who volunteered to serve his constituents as Assembly Member for the Naayiri Electoral Area.
Even though he was vanquished, he was one of the sixteen appointed Jirapa Municipal Assembly members.
According to the Jirapa Municipal Assembly's records, the late Honorable Alfred Boolanpuo was an active member of the assembly who actively contributed to the general assembly's deliberations.
Additionally, he was president of the Jirapa chapter of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union.
It is also rumored that he managed the Jirapa truck station.
His passing while serving as an assemblyman is the third case in Jirapa.
The initial event was the passing of attorney Richard Badombie. His passing was deeply felt on a municipal, regional, and national scale.
As he traveled from Accra to Jirapa through the Savannah Region, he was brutally murdered by unknown assailants.
After a brief illness, the Honorable Raymond Buduo Kandobong, Assembly Member for the Han Electoral Area, also passed away on October 13, 2022.
