Blame Prez Akufo-Addo And Mahama For Hajia4Real's Arrest - Sylvester Soprano Sarpong

Sylvester Soprano Sarpong, a member of the Convention People's Party (CPP) Communications team, blames the former Mahama administration and the current Akufo-Addo administration for the detention of Ghanaian musician and social media influencer Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as Hajia4Real.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, Hajia4Real was returned from the United Kingdom to the United States due to allegations of fraud.

Hajia4real is accused of defrauding older, unmarried American men and women through a disturbing lonely hearts scheme.

Monday, according to the New York Post, the singer of 'The Badder Than' appeared in federal court in Manhattan.

During court proceedings, she entered a not guilty plea. It has been verified that she will be released in the upcoming days after posting a bail bond of $500,000.

Soprano stated in an interview on an Accra-based radio station that Hajia4reall would not have been arrested if the two administrations had put in place the proper systems, particularly for the youth.

"Look at these leaders who were handed everything on a silver platter; they've just brought us to our knees and devastated us. Look at what Hajia4reall was doing, and I can assure you that almost every young person is doing the same thing; it's called Yahoo Yahoo, and there is no alternative. Therefore, what has transpired with Hajia4reall is a direct consequence of the Mahama and Akufo-Addo administrations. I'll assign the responsibility to them..."

As a condition of her release, she will have to wear an ankle monitor with GPS tracking.

According to federal authorities, Montrage, who garnered notoriety through her wildly popular Instagram page Hajia4Reall, which at its peak had approximately 3.4 million followers, was involved in a network of Ghanaian and Nigerian fraudsters.

Through emails, text messages, and social media, these individuals created the illusion of romantic relationships with their victims by assuming false identities and using deceptive methods.
