British Airways Passengers Express Disappoint With The Airline

British Airways (BA) passengers from London to Accra who arrived at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) and discovered that their luggage had been left at Heathrow London have expressed their disappointment with the airline.

The passengers, who were stunned by the unexpected turn of events, expressed confusion after being informed that their bags had been left behind due to an overbooked flight.

A passenger lamented to Joy Business, "This is disgraceful and deceitful on the part of BA, and the least they can do is charter an aircraft to send the luggage immediately to be reunited with the passengers."

Flight 081 of British Airways was rescheduled to depart two hours earlier than its original departure time of 2pm.

Some passengers told Joy Business that they were given forms upon arrival, indicating that British Airways was aware of the situation prior to the flight's departure from Heathrow, London.

"It wasn't until we were about to exit the aircraft that we were informed that some passengers' luggage had not made the flight."

"When we arrived at the baggage claim area, we discovered that only about a dozen suitcases had been loaded, and the carousel was empty," the passenger continued.

Some passengers expressed regret and insisted that the airline should have informed them prior to departure.

"Had they informed passengers, I would have chosen to take a different flight, as I had essential and perishable items, including medication, in my luggage," A passenger stated that the pilot should have observed that the aircraft's weight was suspiciously low.

Other passengers who had a similar experience with British Airways in the past reported that their luggage and suitcases were relocated to Accra after two weeks.

The airline has since apologized to the passengers and promised to rectify the situation.

"Due to operational constraints at London Heathrow, a number of your bags could not be loaded onto your aircraft. This may result in your luggage not being present when you arrive at Accra Airport. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause. According to a BA statement, "we are doing our best to get your bag to you as soon as possible."
