The widow of the deceased Ghanaian footballer recently posted a video to social media showing her dancing to 'Unavailable,' the latest mega hit single by Nigerian sensation Davido, released from his 'Timeless' album.
Rupio was dancing vigorously to the song, displaying genuinely impressive dance moves.
However, some Internet users were dissatisfied and demanded that she continue to mourn her spouse in the comments.
According to them, in Africa widows are expected to mourn for six to twelve months, and Atsu has been deceased for at most a few months.
Others stood behind her and stated, "What Ghanaians do not understand is that what she is doing is a form of rehabilitation. Distraction and occupation are both restorative methods. It does not imply that she is no longer devastated by her loss. People must develop the ability to manage their own business. Pray for her rather than criticizing her. Mental health is essential, but how you deal with it is up to you!" said a fan.
