The police officer who murdered his partner Victoria Dapaah has revealed his true motivation.
Inspector Ahmed Twumasi made his first judicial appearance following his arrest over the weekend on Tuesday, April 25.
In his statement before the Asokore Mampong District Court, he claimed that he had not intended to commit the offense.
"What happened is between me and God," Inspector Twumasi stated in open court. On May 30 he is scheduled to reappear in court.

In addition, he disclosed that the decedent owed him 5,000 cedis, which she had failed to repay.
The Security Analyst responded that although the current Inspector-General of Police (IGP) began his career on a positive note, "now he has gone to sleep and I suspect there is a group within the police administration known as the Dampare Boys."
He claimed that despite the fact that the Service is intended to transform its officers, the administration lead by Dampare had abandoned this objective.
"This is clearly a mental health issue," Mr. Kotin told TV3's Midday Live host Martin Asiedu-Dartey on Tuesday, April 25.
He asserted that due to operational deficiencies, officers' mental fortitude is deteriorating daily.
