A High Court has ordered that the car that Ernest Nimako, a former senior employee at First Atlantic Bank, purchased for his estranged fiancée be kept in court custody.

According to her lawsuit, the former National Service member is owed, among other things, a vehicle with the registration number GC 7899-21 l, which was purchased for her by the case's first defendant, Mr. Nimako.

The court ruled that the vehicle given to Deborah Seyram Adablah by the married man she dated would be returned following the conclusion of an ongoing sexual harassment case.

Deborah Adablah filed a lawsuit in court alleging sexual harassment and other claims against the former Chief Financial Officer of a well-known bank.

The Court (General Jurisdiction), presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, ruled on an application filed by Mr. Nimako on Tuesday, May 16 that the vehicle in dispute should be seized and turned over to the Registrar of the High Court for preservation pending the final resolution of the case.

To this end, the court ordered Mr. Nimako, the Defendant (applicant), to submit to the Registrar all documents pertaining to the aforementioned vehicle.

She asserts that Mr. Nimako registered the car he purchased for her in his own name and, contrary to their agreement, reclaimed the GH120,000 Honda Civic.

According to EIB Network's Legal Affairs Correspondent Murtala Inusah, who was present in court, the Plaintiff (Adablah) drove the aforementioned vehicle to court.

After today, however, she would be required to turn it over to the court registrar in accordance with court orders.
